New USA Representation for Barat

Barat Ceramics, the German specialist ceramic-to-metal seal company has appointed Precision Ceramics to represent them in the USA.

The full range of metalized ceramics, active alloy-brazed and brazed ceramic-to-metal seals, glazed and metalized, will be covered.

Barat has a worldwide reputation for design and build and can supply small quantity production runs, built and tested to a leak rate of <10-9 torr l/sec.

Precision Ceramics USA will offer design advice through to production on new applications together with competitive pricing for existing products.

Brazing options vary from 780ºC up to 980ºC in a variety of materials. Step brazing on the same part can be accommodated for complex assemblies.

Parts up to 8” diameter can be metalized and ceramics of unusual geometries with multiple face and bore seal points can be accommodated in the same component.

A wide variety of metals from the standard 42% nickel iron up to specials such as titanium can be attached. A wide variety of plating can also be applied on to the metalized surface from nickel to copper and gold depending on the requirements and braze options.

Alumina from 96% up to 99% purity is used depending on the process and application.
