Welcoming Andy Duncan as Business Development Director

We are excited to welcome Andy Duncan to the Precision Ceramics family as our new Business Development Director.

“I am delighted to be joining the Precision Ceramics Team in the role of Business Development Director. I hope that my 30 years in technical sales positions across the engineering ceramics sector will support the very capable team. Precision Ceramics have grown and developed expertise significantly in recent years with both enhanced machining capability and a wide range of in-house ceramic materials available and in development. So, this is a very exciting time to join Precision Ceramics and embark on a new adventure. Many thanks to my previous employers, the National Physical Laboratory, and the commercial and science teams for their generous support and friendship.”

Experience:

Andy has a Materials Science Degree and has spent over 30 years in Engineering Ceramics within Technical Management and Business Development roles primarily at Morgan Advanced Ceramics, Friatec, CeramTec and Kyocera groups. Andy’s ceramics application experience is broad spanning design and selection of materials for silicate ceramics, alumina’s, zirconia’s, nitrides, carbides, ceramic metal joining, piezoceramics. Market experience includes Nuclear and Sustainable Power, Research and Innovation Services, Semiconductor Processing, Defence, Power Industry, Mechanical Seals and Bearings, Wear, High Temperature, Brazed Assemblies, Electrical Applications, Piezo Sensors, Automotive, Aerospace, Science + Research, Printing etc.
