Precision Ceramics has appointed Adam Wall as Group Sales Manager, strengthening the company’s global commercial leadership and technical sales support across the UK, Europe, United States and wider international markets.
Adam brings more than 20 years of engineering and manufacturing experience, including over a decade in technical sales and business development. He will work across the Precision Ceramics Group to develop customer relationships, strengthen key accounts and create a more proactive approach to supporting new and existing advanced ceramics projects.
More Than 20 Years of Engineering and Manufacturing Experience
Adam began his career within engineering and has spent more than two decades working in and around manufacturing environments.
This practical engineering background has been an important part of his progression into technical sales, providing an understanding of both the commercial and technical challenges faced by manufacturers.
Over the past decade, Adam has built extensive experience in technical sales and business development, working closely with engineering and manufacturing companies to identify opportunities, solve problems and develop long-term commercial relationships.
This combination of engineering knowledge and commercial experience will allow Adam to support both the Precision Ceramics sales team and its customers as the company continues to grow.
Developing Strategic Customer Relationships
Prior to joining Precision Ceramics, Adam spent almost eight years with Iscar Tools Ltd, a global manufacturer of precision cutting tools for the metalworking industry.
As Area Sales Manager for the West Midlands, Adam was responsible for managing and developing a significant sales territory, working directly with manufacturers as well as developing relationships through key distribution partners.
During this time, he successfully developed a number of strategic accounts, including growing new business from initial engagement into significant long-term customer relationships.
His approach has consistently focused on understanding the customer’s business, identifying opportunities to add value and building relationships that extend beyond individual enquiries or projects.
Supporting Precision Ceramics’ Global Growth
As Group Sales Manager, Adam will work with the Precision Ceramics sales team across its international markets, supporting the continued development of the company’s commercial strategy.
A key focus will be increasing proactive engagement with customers, developing opportunities within existing accounts and ensuring the sales team is positioned to identify and support new projects at an earlier stage.
Adam will also focus on bringing the international sales team together around a consistent approach to customer development while recognising the different requirements of the markets and territories in which Precision Ceramics operates.
With Precision Ceramics supporting customers across a diverse range of advanced industries and applications, developing strong relationships with engineering and procurement teams will be central to the role.
Engineering Experience with a Commercial Focus
Adam’s engineering background has shaped his approach to sales throughout his career.
Rather than focusing solely on individual transactions, his approach is centred around understanding the customer’s application, manufacturing challenges and longer-term objectives before identifying where Precision Ceramics can provide genuine value.
This philosophy closely aligns with Precision Ceramics’ approach to working with customers, where material selection, design for manufacture, precision machining and technical support can all play an important role in taking a component from initial concept through to production.
Adam said:
“I’m extremely pleased to be joining Precision Ceramics at such an exciting stage in the company’s development.
What immediately stood out to me was the technical capability within the business and the industries and applications our customers are involved in. There is a huge amount of knowledge within Precision Ceramics and a great opportunity to build on that commercially.
My first priority is to understand our people, our customers and the markets we operate in. From there, I want us to become increasingly proactive – spending more time talking to customers, understanding what they are trying to achieve and identifying where Precision Ceramics can support them.
We already have some fantastic customer relationships around the world and I’m looking forward to working with the team to strengthen those relationships, develop new ones and help drive the next stage of growth for the business.”
Away from engineering, Adam brings extensive leadership experience from semi-professional football, including his role as Manager of Stafford Town FC.
Leadership Beyond Engineering
Adam’s experience as Manager of Stafford Town FC has helped shape his approach to teamwork, accountability and bringing people together around a common goal..
During his time with the club, Adam has helped oversee one of the most successful periods in Stafford Town’s recent history, including guiding the team to back-to-back play-off campaigns – a first in the club’s history.
Managing at semi-professional level has required many of the same leadership qualities Adam brings to his commercial career: building and managing teams, setting clear expectations, making difficult decisions, developing individuals and creating an environment where people can perform.
Balancing the demands of football management alongside a successful career in engineering sales has also reinforced Adam’s belief in preparation, accountability and creating a strong team culture.
Adam said:
“Football management has been a huge part of my development as a leader. You quickly learn that different people respond to different approaches, and that getting the best out of a team is about much more than simply telling people what to do.
I think there are a lot of parallels with sales leadership. It’s about understanding people, giving them the support and confidence to perform, setting standards and ultimately bringing a group together around a common goal.”

Precision Ceramics supports engineering and manufacturing companies worldwide with advanced ceramic materials, precision machining, design support and component manufacturing for demanding applications. Adam will work alongside the company’s sales, engineering and manufacturing teams to help customers identify materials and develop ceramic components from initial concept through to production.
